C-Side Blues Weekend Cancelled 3-5 September
After everyone’s hard work creating the C-Side Blues Weekend, then having to postpone and reorganise it from 23-25 July to 3-5 September, we are disappointed to still be strumming away to the Covid Blues.
Considering the current extent and uncertainty surrounding the lockdown situation, it has become untenable to move forward with the event, therefore we have been forced to make the very sad decision to cancel our C-Side Blues Weekend.
Given Coffs Harbour City Council’s recent backflip on our tenure renewal with the venue now going to public tender for the Crown Licence, we cannot postpone the event to a future date. We will not know Council’s decision until well into September at the earliest with no date currently set for determination of the tender. We thank all the artists, technicians and supporters involved, especially Big Apachee, who we know are all disappointed in yet another event being cancelled, and hope we have a chance to organise a similar event next year, bringing blues to the Coffs Coast and keeping live music LIVE!
