Joshua Matheson (LTTLE KNG) is a producer based on the Mid North Coast of NSW whose curious cocktail of soul, hip-hop, and pop creates an eclectic mashup with a palpable vibe.
Growing up in the eclectic township of Bellingen, his musical upbringing involved attending music festivals as a roady and playing in the church band, and at 19 he began performing solo & band shows up and down the East Coast of NSW and he has never looked back.
Josh’s live show involves looping digital drums, bass lines, keys, synths and guitar, overlaying a myriad of organic and electronic sounds, moulding with his haunting vocal, cheeky riffs and dope rhythms which creates something a little bit interesting.
With influences that include Chet Faker, Tom Misch, Fat Freddy’s Drop and Anderson Paak, his sound is full of surprises and anything but predictable.
Having signed on with MGM Publishing in 2020, Josh puts out tunes under his producer guise Lttle Kng, who’s recent EP release ‘Chances’, was co-produced by Alex Gooden (Evermore, SAFIA), with Lttle Kng’s first single, ‘Uilohi’ receiving air play all over the country on community radio.
